Over the past five years, AYA have developed one-act plays in collaboration with Bellerive Historical Society, Bass Strait Drifters (Tasmania), Rosny LINC in Seniors’ Week and Clarence Council’s Governor Macquarie 200 Year celebrations.

In developing and performing our programs, consideration has to be given to:

All programs range from 15-minute vignettes to complete audience interactive performances of an hour or more.

From 2007 to 2010, The Judy Teapot Reality TV Show was the primary focus of program development.

It featured many aspects of a reality show including news reports, commercials and special segments on themes such as customer service, technology and social isolation.

Judy Teapot is no longer a part of the repertoire – unless requested.

In 2012 we are proud to announce the development and public performance of three very different productions using the Stonehouse Gully theme.

Stonehouse Gully is about zany characters, events and situations in the lives of the good citizens of this town – maybe you are able to relate to them yourselves?

The format can be modified to suit specific requirements of conference convenors, seminar organisers, club meeting coordinators or special event project officers.

Talk to us about your

themes and ideas.

A one-act play - 2011

AYA’s final production in 2011 was Follow the Sun. This was developed in collaboration with Bass Strait Drifters (Tasmania), a caravan/ mobile home travelling organisation.

Golden Ponds Caravan Park in Charters Towers is typical of venues used by “Grey Nomads” everywhere. Happy hour is the social event of the day when travellers’ tales are shared. A Sunday morning radio program featuring ‘Knackered All Over” brings wanted and unwanted callers on line. Throw in a shonky musician, some suspect sleeping locations in the park, Knackered’s interview with returning travellers on the Spirit of Tasmania, travellers singing “Glory, glory, Winnebago” on the top deck and you might have a different perception of the travellers as you Follow the Sun.
